Tomorrow & Partners
CCH Tagetik is the publisher of the software of the same name. After gaining a strong foothold in its home market, this Italian company based in Lucca, Tuscany, has enjoyed strong international expansion over the past 10 years.
Acquired by Wolters Kluwers in 2017, it retains its independence within the new entity, enabling it to focus on its application roadmap and continue to innovate.
Wolters Kluwers is known for growing its solutions and thus enhancing the value of its software portfolio. Following the acquisition of CCH Tagetik, the development teams, a significant part of the management team, their consulting teams, locations and partners remain in place.
History, description of the partnership
As is often the case with Tomorrow, it’s a story of people and encounters. While we’ve known CCH Tagetik for years, the partnership officially dates back to 2018 with the development of consulting offerings for finance departments at Tomorrow’s Geneva office.
The first projects are an opportunity to build up skills and, by chance of invitations to tender, to develop vertical expertise on NGOs. It’s true that Geneva is an ideal hub for working on the performance management of these major international and non-governmental organizations.
Today, our partnership is mature, and we have the capacity to intervene in all types of industry and different functional areas: finance of course, but also ESGR, taxation, supply chain, sales, etc.
CCH Tagetik has numerous partners throughout the world, and particularly in Switzerland. Our partnership is therefore not one of exclusivity, which enables us to maintain a healthy and balanced relationship with CCH Tagetik, while at the same time preserving our agnostic DNA, which naturally pushes us towards the best solutions, based on the context of our customers and while respecting existing ecosystems.
For 4 years, I was part of the CCH Tagetik Switzerland sales team, looking after the French-speaking Swiss market. I have some excellent memories of my time there, and some great encounters with their teams in Zurich (not to mention a few nice jaunts to Lucca).
This gave me the opportunity to work with countless finance departments, to understand their issues and provide concrete solutions.
Of course, I also worked with a number of partners, which is how I met the Tomorrow teams.
I particularly appreciated their ability to work with others, always with great respect for organizations and individuals, as well as their professionalism and ability to carry and embody a vision for the customer.
Today, from my new position, I'm continuing to contribute to the development of the CCH Tagetik partnership with the Tomorrow teams, but I'm concentrating above all on developing our offerings for sales and marketing managers. Whether it's business model change, the customer journey or big data, I'm putting my former sales skills to work on our customers' transformation projects.
I started out as a financier: a classic economics and finance background, then an auditor with Big4, then an internal controller, before I discovered management consulting with Tomorrow.
Naturally, I focus on transformation projects for finance departments. There are many topics: reduction of closing times, performance management, etc. At the moment, we're very much in demand for forecasting process tools, for example, the integration of financial and operational forecasts (demand planning and supply chain planning).
Today, one of my activities targets the development of our offerings around CCH Tagetik: I have to make sure that projects run smoothly, train and certify our consultants and organize joint events with our partner. The help of consultants specialized in business process transformation is invaluable. I also work closely on these topics with Tomorrow's finance team (financial steering, etc.).
In this case, the tool is not an end in itself, but a means of achieving the business' objectives.
